MOSCOW, Oct 8 (PRIME) -- Russian antivirus software maker Kaspersky has detected new global spyware attacks against industrial enterprises, the company said on Thursday in a statement.
“An attack starts with distribution of a loading program via phishing through self-unpacking archives. The names of the files in such archives can be related to the lists of contacts of employees, technical documents or results of medical analyses,” Kaspersky said.
Malware MontysThree that has existed since 2018 at latest targets industrial enterprises. It exploits techniques helping it to avoid detection.
